When are your service times?
Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Where are you located?
3812 - 229th Avenue NW, St. Francis, MN 55070 (corner of 229th Ave and Ambassador Blvd. in St. Francis, just south of the Middle School.)
What are services like?
Our Sunday morning worship follows the historic Christian liturgy according to the Lutheran tradition. This form of worship, handed down through the centuries, is the way God serves us with the gifts of forgiveness, life and salvation secured by Jesus Christ through His life, death and resurrection.
Our services are about one hour long. They include congregational singing, special music, Scripture readings, and the preaching and teaching of God’s Word, the Bible. On the first and third Sundays each month (and on special festivals) we also celebrate Holy Communion.
Where do I sit?
As our guest, you may sit wherever you feel most comfortable. If you have young children you may want to sit near the front so they can better see what is happening during the service, or you may prefer to sit near the back so you can more easily attend to their needs as these arise. You may also use our nursery during the service.
Will I be asked to give money?
The tithes and offerings received during the service are an integral part of the worship of God’s people. In response to the gifts and blessings the Lord give us, we return a portion to support the work of the church. Visitors and guests are not obligated to give, but you are welcome to participate.
What should I wear?
We are more interested in your presence than your appearance! We do hope to present ourselves in God’s presence with respect and dignity, including in our dress. You will see members in suits and ties, dresses, or more casual wear.
What is there for my children?
We offer childcare in our nursery during both services and the adult Bible study time. Our Sunday school offers classes year-round for children ages 3 and older at 9:15 a.m. Our Sunday school staff is available to register your children, bring them to the classrooms and introduce them to the teachers.
When do you offer Holy Communion?
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at both services and at special services throughout the church year, such as Easter. Visitors are encouraged to talk with our pastor or an elder before receiving Communion at Trinity for the first time.
Where do I park?
There is plenty of parking available in the lot next to our building, as well as the overflow lot across the street to the north of the church. Our building is handicap accessible and has an elevator just inside the church entrance (north end of the building).
How can I request a prayer?
Trinity has a number of ways to submit prayer requests: In-person by talking with the pastor or an elder; written “Prayer Request” forms available from the ushers, online requests, plus by phoning or e-mailing the church office at any time.
After the Service
Having received the blessings of Christ through His gifts of Word and Sacrament, after the service we return to our daily vocations to serve God by serving our neighbor in Jesus’ name. You’ll see that this begins as members converse with one another, sharing the joys and concerns of the past week during the time of fellowship following the service. We hope you will also feel welcomed and included in some of these conversations so we get a chance to learn about you!
After the 8:00 a.m. service (around 9:15) we serve coffee and rolls in the Family Center, followed by adult Bible Study. Children and youth gather for singing and Sunday school at this time. By the way, many people come around 9:00 to join the fellowship and Bible study, and then attend the 10:30 a.m. service. Either way, we’d love to get to know you during this time!
